It has been a good day with cooler temperatures and some nice rain but it is Friday the 13th and things have been a little crazy this afternoon.

 

The most notable item was the discovery of a meth lab in a recently occupied apartment on Third Avenue.  We are fortunate to have an officer that is trained in the clean-up process.  He was joined by an officer from Gallia Co.  Thanks to them!  Thanks to our other officers that responded.  Thanks to the Meigs County Sheriff's Department for their help.  Thanks to Children's Services for their part.  There were children in the apartment.  Thanks to our Fire Department for their quick response putting a safety zone around the house.

 

All in all, it was the quick elimination of a problem before it could get established.  Congratulations to all of those departments that were involved!
